Playground of the Week – Cornwall Park

Cornwall Park, Auckland
Accessed off Manurewa Road, at the One Tree Hill end of Cornwall Park, is a gem of a play area.
It’s most awesome feature is its wee push train. About 10m of loop track, the train comfortably carries an adult while still being pushed by a larger child. There’s also a tree hut, a huge slide, swings, a flying fox and a picnic area.
Nestled in amongst mature trees, with parking immediately next to the park, its only flaw is a lack of fencing. But it’s other up side is the huge expanse of Cornwall Park that can be explored from the area.
